German teacher, calligrapher and printer Herbert Post created Post-Mediaeval in 1951. Designed for both text and display uses, it shows off the designer’s calligraphic background and has many distinctive characteristics.

Herbert Post’s (1903-1978) blackletter fonts redesigned for nowadays’ use. Both font styles contain adorning swash caps. Typing N, o, and period, and activating the OT feature Ordinals produces an oldstyle number sign.
